IV The Art
Hennaaz · Melbourne
Bespoke Middle Eastern and contemporary henna by Shehnaz, for weddings, celebrations and every story in between.
01 Occasions
Whatever brings you to the chair, whether it is a wedding mehndi night, an Eid morning, a birthday or simply a Tuesday, there is a design waiting for it.
02 Portfolio
Flowing Arabic florals, fine Khaleeji detail and modern minimal lines. A few pieces from Shehnaz’s chair.

03 From Oman to Melbourne
Shehnaz grew up in Oman, where henna is part of every celebration. She lived there for twenty-eight years before making Melbourne home, and brought the Gulf’s flowing Arabic florals with her.
More than ten years into her craft, she still makes every cone by hand, using her own organic henna. Her work moves easily between traditional and contemporary: intricate bridal hands, fine Arabic vines and minimal pieces that say more with less. Every design is shaped around the person wearing it.

Most cones are made in a factory. Ours are made by hand in Melbourne, by the same hands that will draw on yours.
01 The henna

02 The cone
Each cone is rolled, filled and sealed by hand, so the paste flows evenly and the line stays fine from the first petal to the last.

Shehnaz did my bridal henna and I can't recommend her enough! She was so patient with all my requests and the detailing was just incredible. Everyone kept asking me who did my mehendi. Thank you for making my big day even more special ❤️Farheen · Bridal
Shehnaz is honestly such a lovely person! She made me feel comfortable from the moment I arrived. We chatted the whole time and before I knew it, I had this gorgeous henna design on my hands. Such a beautiful experience!Amanda
Got my Karwa Chauth mehendi done by Shehnaz and absolutely loved it! The design was so pretty and the colour came out really dark too. She's definitely going to be my go-to for every festival now!Vaishnavi · Karwa Chauth
What I loved most about Shehnaz is how creative she is. I showed her a couple of reference pictures and told her to do her thing. She literally came up with something even more beautiful on the spot! She's got such an amazing eye for design.Radhika
Such a kind and gentle soul! I kept changing my mind about what design I wanted but Shehnaz was so patient throughout. She never once made me feel rushed. And the final result was absolutely stunning. Thank you so much!Samia
I've had henna done by many artists over the years but Shehnaz's detailing is something else. Her lines are so neat and precise, especially the tiny patterns. You can genuinely see how much she loves what she does.Saba
This was my third time getting mehendi from Shehnaz and she never disappoints! Every single time she comes up with something new. Her work is consistently beautiful and she's always so accommodating with appointments. Already looking forward to the next one!Meera · Returning client
